Fancy a Wassail?

Helping Britain Blossom in partnership with Heaton Mersey Conservation Group, are holding a Wassail which involves drinking to the health of trees. This traditional ceremony is practiced in many of the cider orchards in southern England during the winter.

Helping Britain Blossom orchards have a simple proposition. The community comes together to plant, or restore, fruit trees and create valuable green space in their local area. This orchard can be as few as five trees or many hundreds of trees, what matters is that the orchard provides a safe, green space for the local community that can be used for a wide range of activities and celebrations.
