The initial Stockport Council plans to rebuild St John’s CE Primary School have been scrapped, making way for the school to rebuild on the current site. Local residents formed a group called ‘Save the People’s Heaton Mersey Common’ and have sucsessfully over turned Stockport Councils initial decision to use the beautiful green space.
