Heatons Auctioneers Highlights

Art lovers throughout The Heatons have a feast of auctions over the next few months. Establish in 1826, Capes Dunn have recently moved from their Manchester City centre, to Station Road in Heaton Mersey.

Selling a large number of Fine Art & Antiques, Capes Dunn also host fortnightly Interiors, Vintage & Modern auctions.

New Heaton Chapel Steak House

The steak house ‘Miller & Carter’ are just five weeks away from opening. Taking up residency where the Toby Carvery pub ‘The Rudyard’ used to be, Miller & Carter are promising prime 30 day aged steaks, cooked to perfection.

Once you have decided on one of the thirteen different steaks available, you’ll also get to choose your own delicious steak sauce. A signature crispy onion loaf, a dressed iceberg wedge and a grilled balsamic-glazed tomato, will be added to complete your steak experience.

Any combination of ladies and gentleman – £140 per team.
All proceeds to go to Prostate Cancer and The Stroke Association.

We are over the moon to have attracted Anna Corrigan to join our growing Heatons’ Lettings team.

As The Heatons’ Senior Lettings Manager, Anna will head up lettings with the support of Stacey Wilson, Georgia Selbie and Director, Julian Bethell.  All colleagues our landlords and tenants know very well.

Anna, who is ARLA qualified, has worked in similar high-profile South Manchester areas including Didsbury, Withington, Altrincham and Hale commented:

Symbolic Art Work

Located on Wellington Road in Heaton Chapel, Manchester artist Karl Macauley has created a very poignant tribute to the recent Manchester City Centre terror attack. Karl creates him delicate works of art, using a chainsaw which seems hard to fathom. Using great skill, love and dedication, this beautiful wooden sculpture must be viewed!

Heatons Arts Trail

This annual open studio event takes place on Saturday 1st / Sunday 2nd July and provides a chance to buy art work direct from the makers. Artists open their doors throughout The Heatons, to public showcase their recent creations from visual arts and craft to music, theatre and spoken word. The event gives the public a unique opportunity to meet artists in their creative spaces as well as finding art in unusual places within the community. Heatons’ Arts Trail also opens up for artists from further afield to take part in the event as guest artists. See you there!
