A local Heaton Moor resident and urban designer Nick Atherton, is seeing his vision to pedestrianise Shaw Road brought to life. In partnership with the Four Heatons Traders Association, Nick has obtained funding by Stockport SMBC to redesign the carriageway on Shaw Road, enhancing the appeal of existing shops and cafés. The project will produce wider pavements which will create a move liveable and inviting street environment.
